The Canterbury Squash Open 2010 Graded Tournament

We are holding a graded (A, B & C) squash knockout tournament at The King’s School Recreation Centre on the 26th, 27th and 28th March 2010. We have gained sponsorship and support from DIVA Metalworks Ltd, Affinitext, Autoworld, Robert Brett and Sons Ltd, PeterNicolSquash.com and Prince in the running of this event.

This is the seventh year that the tournament will run, and hopefully it will be even more successful than 2009. The last tournament attracted a good mixture of players from around the country, recreational to county standard. Forty nine players competed and it would be fantastic to have even more this time. Your support of this event would be greatly appreciated.

All forms must be returned by Thursday 18th March 2010, the draw will take place on Friday 19th March 2010. Full payment of the entry fee (£12) must be sent with the entry form. Players are guaranteed at least two matches because plate competitions (for those that exit the main draw in the 1st round) will run alongside the main draws. Point-a-rally scoring to 11 will be used. Players will be notified of the draw and directions of how to find the Centre by post.

There will be special offers at the bar throughout the tournament, so spectators and players are more than welcome to stay and support the whole weekend, and hopefully witness some fantastic squash along the way.

A Grade - Players at county standard and playing at first
or premier division level in a county league.

B Grade - A 'middle' team player but not currently county standard.

C Grade - Players who play regularly and are a 'lower' club team player.

A Grade winner - £350 Runner Up - £225
Losing semi finalists - £125 each
A Grade Plate winner - £50 A Grade Plate runner up - £25

B Grade - winner Prince Racket, runner up £25.
B Grade plate winner £25

C Grade - winner Prince Shoes, runner up £25.
C Grade plate winner £25.
