I have received a number of requests for information about tickets for next year's Canary Wharf tournament. It's good to see so much interest being expressed by Kent club players and parents who are keen to watch the world's top pros in a wonderful venue, with the added bonus of being entertained and learning so much at the same time.

The great news for English squash as we approach the New Year is that James Willstrop has won three major tournaments one after the other, in Hong Kong, Kuwait and Delhi, and he will top the PSA world rankings in January ahead of world champion Nick Matthew.

Nick has won the last two Canary Wharf tournaments and his two-hour battle with James in the 2010 semi-finals was one of the best matches in the history of the sport.

The qualifying competition takes place at Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness Club on March 17-18 with four winners joining the top 12 seeds in the main draw action on the glass court at at the fabulous East Wintergarden venue at Canary Wharf from March 19-23 (Monday to Friday).
