How Refreshing ... ... ...

Just a quickie ...

Watched Folkestone's last home game against Waterfront last night.

How refreshing to see the lads from Waterfront enjoying their squash without moaning & groaning to the marker every 2 minutes.

Esp ... Mr Harrison & Mr Steeden with not a bad word/question between them all evening.

Pleasure to watch & mark.

A few more with an attitude like that would not go a miss ... ... ...

Must admit, the boys from Waterfront/Bexley are always a pleasure to mark/play against as they always take each decision as fair and are always pleasant company afterwards

I think you scared them at the start of the match Ray, telling them in no uncertain terms that there would be no arguing!

Hi The Friendly Squash Community,

I totally agree with Alan's comments and even now cannot recall any incidents in my past where I have had to question the eyesight, bias, heritage, squash playing position, sexual orientation etc of any marker who has had the pleasure/mispleasure to watch me play! I am now old and obviously my memory has faded somewhat!

I was there too but as a neutral. However I did hear one comment of ' Watsy's only here to make sure we don't cheat!'

Even I, hardened by years of verbal abuse (mostly aimed at my own heritage), was shocked!

Like Alan, I did have a rather excellent time and was impressed by the efforts of both teams.

Hardly a call was questioned but with both Duanne, Mark and Matt supremely confident in their ability to win, it was only a matter of time as to when.

Great night of squash guys and something more for me to remember now that I'm mature! Thanks Al!
