Champions KO'd in their own backyard

Well, match reports are a bit thin on the ground this season, but PL's visit to Dulwich last night couldn't be allowed to pass off without comment.

Normally, the PL team go to Dulwich with much fear and trepidation, usually exiting with their tails between their legs clutching a 0-5 doughnutting (not donut - we are English remember). Not so last night.

Both team were in a somewhat weakened state. TG was busy organising a golf day just down the road,… Continue

Apologies to Champions (Dulwich) | Credit Where Credit's Due!

Long overdue... congratulations go out to Dulwich Squash Club clinched their second successive Priory Title with a win over arch rivals Biggin Hill on the final day of the season. Although it did not have the drama of the previous year when the final match, went to the final rubber, which was decided 9/6 in the fifth with club captain Duncan Marlow sealing the win, it was still a nail biting end none the less. Just before Christmas Biggin Hill had won… Continue

New website - It's official!

We're delighted to announce that this site will be the brand new 'face' of Kent Squash & Racketball. Following a trial and poll to gauge user reaction, it was agreed by Kent Chairman Alan Thatcher this 'facebook' style of site was exactly what the county needed.

Gone of the days whereby the site was left to a small number of individuals to populate, now anyone can submit news items, discussion posts, events, pictures, videos and much more. Moderators of the site can… Continue

that looks great Mark. many thanks. congratulations on the site as a whole actually. I think it is a great benefit to Kent squash.

Not that you probably want more work to do, but I was thinking it would be good to add a Teams section to add details of current squads, results etc. At the moment, results seem to be added by captains to the forum and then get slightly lost. Come to think of it, I am not even sure who is in some of the teams.

Hi Simon

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm not sure exactly what you mean. The League Master site is for the results where captains fill out the results and match reports. This kent site is for discussions, events and general communications. Anything's possible but I just need to know what exactly you mean, examples would be good,

Cheers

sorry, didn't see this. I meant for the county squads.. seniors, O35, ladies, juniors etc. Clive and Mark S have posted some results recently for O55 and O35, but a dedicated section would allow people to follow what is happening and might encourage people to play for their county. maybe just details of current squads, results and a  match report, something like that. just an idea

It's a good idea and is definitely needed on the site. Not quite sure how but I'm sure it can be figured out. Rankings are also good. I think I'll post a discussion to get people's feedback. Cheers

Mark
