Alan Thatcher WORLD SQUASH DAY: LADIES WANTED !!!

It was fantastic to see an all-Kent final in the British Junior Open Under-15 Championship in Manchester on Sunday, with Georgina Kennedy of Park Langley overcoming Amelia Henley of Rodmersham.

Sadly, we will not be fielding a girls' county team at under-19 level this season because of a shortage of players.

That's why the need to attract a new generation of female players is one of the priorities of the Kent SRA and that is, hopefully, shared by all clubs in the…

Mandy Akin and Ben Ford did the double for Kent at the weekend when they both won British Open Masters titles in their respective age groups.

Mandy's first match was relatively straight forward which took her in to the Semi Final where she met the number 1 seed, who she had lost to 3/0 in their previous encounter but this time Mandy put in a solid performance and beat her 3/1 and then went on to take the final with another good performance (3/0 - 9/7 9/0 95) to take her 4th…
