Samuel Stabler Brief report of the Racketball Kent closed 2010

For the first time the Racketball Kent closed was held at Bromley Cricket Club. From the feed back from all the players and supporters it was a great success. Luckily for Sam Stabler, as it was the first tournament he has organised. Due to the low entries in the women’s main, women’s over 45 and men’s over 55 there was a round robin tournament in place. Hopefully next year there will be more people entering, as there were a lot of you who didn’t bother, you know who you are. Women’s O45Continue

Let’s hope 2010 brings a non-stop wave of enjoyment on court, harmony between players and referees, dynamic leadership from our governing bodies, and a clear-headed vision of where the sport wants to be as we continue to pursue the dream of squash becoming an Olympic sport. PJ BACK ON COURT It was great to see Paul Johnson back in action in Kent last week. The former world No.4 turned out for Bromley Cr… Continue

Alan Thatcher CHRISTMAS BLOG

This has been a dramatic year for all those involved in Kent squash and racketball. The tragic death of our long-serving secretary, Ian Wright, brought home to us all the enormity of the tasks he undertook for the benefit of the game. Finding a team of people to take over the tasks he carried out became our number one priority and we are grateful to Len Locke, Mike Sofianos and Joe Magor for stepping forward to share a massive workload. The search for new officers continues and we are delighte… Continue

Len Locke OUTSTANDING COURT & SUBSCRIPTIONS

From the KSRA Teasurer Unfortunately my plea concerning the clubs that have not paid their court fees and subscriptions has fallen on deaf ears, apart from Beckenham and Maidstone who have now paid in full. Thank you for your intervention Oliver in respect of Beckenham. Unlike Ian who had retired status, I am self employed and do not have the time to constantly chase clubs to pay their fees. It is incumbent on all Secretaries/Treasurers of the clubs to ensure that they pay their club fe… Continue
