Long overdue... congratulations go out to Dulwich Squash Club clinched their second successive Priory Title with a win over arch rivals Biggin Hill on the final day of the season. Although it did not have the drama of the previous year when the final match, went to the final rubber, which was decided 9/6 in the fifth with club captain Duncan Marlow sealing the win, it was still a nail biting end none the less. Just before Christmas Biggin Hill had won a titanic tussle when Stacey Ross edged out Tim Garner in the decider to stay hot on the heels of Dulwich. However, Dulwich did just enough in the new year to build up a lead that left Biggin Hill needing a comprehensive victory to wrestle back the title they last held aloft in 2007, in the midst of a 49 match unbeaten run. Despite suffering long term injuries to first team stalwart Andy Moore & Paul Taylor, the backbone of Tim Garner & Will Browsdon were ever present to ensure a solid side was field all year, and to churn out the points to see Dulwich home.
Biggin Hill gained some consolation with 4-1 victories over Dulwich in both the Ivor Howell & Cornwallis Cup Finals.
