Today saw the last of this seasons englandsquashandracketball junior sanctioned events in kent.Apart from Bexley for the last 3 years, there has been no other sanctioned events in kent for a long time.

This season we changed that with Beckenham, Mote, Maidstone, Poultwood, Park Langley and Bexley all holding events.

These events attracted over 300 players to play squash in kent that would not normally do so. These players were from all over england as well as players from egypt and USA.

It is great for Kent juniors to be able to play these events without the cost of travelling to other counties to play and some that normally do not play these events did so.

Thanks to all that helped with organising the events i was involved in, Mark Shapcott, Mike Tonge, Steve Masters, Ryan Whiteley and the comittees from all the above clubs for allowing the events to happen. also well done to ken cotton for doing the one at park langley.

I am sure the club appreciated seeing the club filled with talented juniors and i am sure they made plenty of money selling drinks and food!

Hope fully these events will continue next season and maybe some clubs will get involved(just need minimum 4 courts)
