KENT OPEN RACKETBALL: TED JEAL WINS FINAL

Ted Jeal made sure of a home victory during the Kent Open when he won the Harrow UK Racketball Series competition at The Mote on Saturday.

PSA members Henrik Mustonen from Finland and Robbie Downer from Sussex stayed on at the tournament and took part in the rackteball.

Ted overcame Robbie on his way to the final and then beat Henrik in a fantastic final. Henrik had never picked up a racketball racket before Saturday but proceeded to knock out the top seed, Tom Phipps.

UK Racketball Series final: Ted Jeal (Kent) beat Henrik Mustonen (Finland) 11-8, 8-11, 11-6.

We also had loads of fun with the radar gun and Ant Garrett set a new world record for racketball with a speed of 138mph.

Robbie Downer, meanwhile, came desperately close to beating John White's world record squash speed (172 mph) with a phenomenal strike of 171mph earlier in the week.

All in all, the racketball tournament was a popular addition to the Kent Open and we look forward to doing it again next season. Hopefully with a few more entries from Kent players.
