A great demonstration of racketball skills, fitness and agility from Zeb and Steve on the Mote Squash Club Open Day.
Well done and Thank You to Sue Wright for a successful Open Day at Biggin Hill.
I am hoping that Sue will be able to return to Kent in the summer for some further clinics / exhibitions so if your club would like to host a special day to promote women’s squash then please let me know.
Sue is pictured with some of the players at Biggin Hill.
Great night at The Mote with world number one James Willstrop taking on all-comers.
Ladies first, of course, and well done to Gabby Manvell and Rebecca Sofianos for giving James a fun warm-up. James enjoyed his doubles stint with Phill Crane (Leeds v The Rest Of The World) before a Lightning Round with half the people in the club!
Well done to Zeb Young for being the only person to take three points off James!
Some fun challenge matches followed with James taking on a variety of opponents including Zeb, Fraser Burns, James Evans and Ryan Duke.
Ryan managed the dubious honour of hitting the world number one with the ball. (I hope the insurance claim isn’t too enormous!)
Great to see so many friends from Cranbrook joining in a fantastic evening of squash.
I am sure that James will put on a similarly stupendous show at Tunbridge Wells and Bexley today.
And I am sure he will be reminding everybody to Back The Bid on World Squash Day (October 20th).
